Gabrielle O. Thorndyke

A working artist since the early 80’s, Gabrielle’s background includes live and studio performance, concert production, audio/visual production, studio sound engineering, technical and copy writing. 

​

She studied vocal performance under Laurel Miller at University of North Texas, and  songwriting/music composition under Logan Belle at Full Sail University. In 2022, Gabrielle returned to college to improve her knowledge of digital recording techniques and brush up on current industry production standards. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Production, June, 2024.

Since 2019, Gabrielle has been a senior production technician at SummitDay, LLC, a media production and preservation house in Anchorge, Alaska. She is a strong proponent of media preservation, a member of AMIA (Association of Moving Image Archivists) and ARSC (Association for Recorded Sound Collections)

​

She’s also a weekend radio DJ, host of the Gig.Life.Art show on KONR-LP Anchorage 106.1 FM and owner-operator of Spectral Decay Studio. 

​

 

 

The Vision:

Ultimately, we want to see Anchorage become the Austin of 49th parallel, especially for sound technicians. In service of that, we are actively looking for investors and sponsors, interested in helping us establish a permanent base here in the Anchorage area.
